You must select a vehicle.
The constant velocity (CV) joint's purpose is to transmit power from the driveshaft at varying angles without adding much friction or play to the system. The joint is filled with grease and covered with a rubber boot, which in time can split causing damage to the bearings which are not lubricated properly. If this is caught early the boot itself can be replaced and the joint pumped with grease, otherwise the entire joint must be replaced due to excess wear. See Ottocarparts.com's selection of joint sets.
